Many of her pieces are named after the ethnicities she encountered during her travels to Senegal and the Gambia of West Africa. The Fulani, Mandinka, Jola, Wolof and Tukulor are a few of the 13 original ethnicities that are native to those two countries. The names are as beautiful and fascinating as the people and their lands. |
